A temporary spa created to maintain treatments at opening, build a client base and prepare the permanent operation.
Méribel, France
Assistant Spa Manager
The permanent spa had fallen significantly behind schedule and could not welcome guests when the hotel opened. To maintain treatments, a small temporary spa was created on an upper floor of the property. The challenge was to provide a smooth experience in this interim space while preparing the next stage. I supported the recruitment of a four-person team, built the guest journey, prepared the three treatment rooms and contributed to the treatment menu.
I also implemented the software, coordinated operations with the hotel’s other departments and personally delivered treatments. The challenge extended beyond opening: this new spa needed to become known in Méribel, where established competitors already had a strong presence. The guest journey remained smooth and a base of regular clients gradually developed. The spa had begun to establish itself in the destination before its permanent opening.
