Marrakech and Morocco
Hotel spa consultant in Marrakech and Morocco
Are you opening a hotel in Marrakech, or bringing an established spa back up to standard? I’m a consultant in hotel spa openings and operations. I work on the concept, treatment menu, procedures and team, through to the first days of operation.
I’m based in Finistère, France, and travel to Morocco for projects. I always start with a site visit, then the work splits between on-site and remote depending on the stage.
01
Marrakech, almost a third of the country’s overnight stays
Morocco received a record 19.8 million tourists in 2025, up 14%. The country aims for 26 million arrivals by 2030. Marrakech recorded 13.66 million overnight stays in classified establishments, 31% of the national total, with 73% occupancy at the end of December 2025 against 58% for the country as a whole.
In a city that takes almost a third of the country’s overnight stays, guests have plenty of hotels to choose from. A spa menu has to say clearly what sets it apart, from the moment guests book.
02
European guests, local know-how
France remains the leading market with 5.2 million arrivals in 2025, ahead of Spain (4.1 million) and the UK (1.2 million). A large share of guests come from Europe.
The hammam has a special place. As early as 2007, a survey by a Marrakech hotel chain, quoted by L’Economiste, put it first among the services its guests asked for. Building a menu here means balancing these rituals with treatments guests already know, with lengths and prices that fit the team’s schedule.

What I bring to a spa in Morocco
I built the treatment menus of the Villars Palace in Switzerland and of Jeanne & Jules, an independent hotel in Brittany. In Méribel, I contributed to the Antarès menu. A menu starts from the number of treatment rooms, the team’s skills and the target guests.
On a takeover or repositioning, I review the spaces, tools and current team to spot the gaps. I then propose a tighter menu, written procedures and a guest journey aligned with the hotel front desk.
My full method is described on the hotel spa consulting page.
Frequently asked questions
Do you travel to Morocco?
Yes. I come on site at the start of every assignment to see the spa, meet the team and understand the hotel. I come back for the stages that need me there, such as test days or the launch of a new menu.
Which languages do you work in?
I work in French and English. Discussions with management and the materials handed to the team follow the hotel’s working language.
How does an assignment work remotely and on site?
After the first visit, I work remotely on the treatment menu, procedures and materials, with regular check-ins with the project lead. I come back on site to support the team when the changes go live.
