Do you want to reposition your hotel spa in Biarritz, or create one on the Basque coast? I’m a consultant in hotel spa openings and operations. I work on the concept, treatment menu, procedures and team.
I’m based in Finistère, Brittany, and travel to the Basque Country for projects. I come on site at the start of the assignment, then the work moves forward remotely and on site depending on the stage.

A thalassotherapy coast, a season to stretch
France has about fifty thalassotherapy centres, 14 of them in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, according to the French Ministry of the Economy (2024). In Biarritz, the 5-star Sofitel Le Miramar has its own thalasso centre, and the Thalmar centre sits a few metres from Marbella beach. A hotel spa on this coast is compared with a long-established offer of marine treatments.
In 2022, the Basque Country tourist office wanted to build coastal attendance in spring and autumn while easing the summer crowds. In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, hotel overnight stays by foreign guests grew 7.2% in 2025, according to Insee, with Spanish visitors up 6% and Americans up 29%. For a spa, these shoulder seasons are worked with offers designed for local clients and short stays.

What I bring to a spa on the Basque coast
In Brittany, at Jeanne & Jules, I created a single-room spa that had to attract both hotel guests and local residents. The menu, offers and forecasts were built for both, and local clients became regulars.
On a repositioning in Biarritz, I review the spaces, team and tools in place, then propose a clearer menu, written procedures and a guest journey connected to the hotel front desk.

Do you travel to the Basque Country?
Yes. I come on site at the start of the project, then for the stages that need me there, such as team training or the launch of a new menu.

French and English. Materials in English can support the welcome of international guests.
How does an assignment work remotely and on site?
The first visit is about understanding the spa, the hotel and the team. I then work remotely on the concept, menu and procedures, with regular check-ins, and come back for the launch.
