Hotel spa consultant in Reunion Island
Are you creating a spa in a hotel on Reunion Island, or trying to understand why yours isn’t filling its treatment rooms? I’m a consultant in hotel spa openings and operations. I work on the concept, treatment menu, procedures and team.
I’m based in Finistère, France, and travel to Reunion Island for projects. I start with a site visit, then the work moves forward remotely, with return trips for the stages that need them.
01
Hotels, chosen by one tourist in five
Reunion Island welcomed 580,675 external tourists in 2025, 4.3% more than in 2024, according to the Île de La Réunion Tourisme observatory. Visitors from mainland France account for 82%. The average stay lasts 18 days, and holiday rentals (24.3%) come ahead of classified hotels (19.5%) among the ways tourists stay.
In hotels and other collective tourist accommodation, Insee counted 1,626,700 overnight stays in 2025, up 5%, with average occupancy of 63%. The year before, only 4 and 5-star establishments grew, by 7%.
02
An offset season and local clients to win over
The second quarter is traditionally the quietest (120,883 tourists in 2025) and the fourth the high season (164,122). In hotels and collective accommodation, October was the busiest month of 2025 and February the weakest. Guests living in France accounted for 92% of overnight stays.
For a hotel spa, these figures argue for an offer that also speaks to island residents. Day packages, memberships or treatments designed for returning clients help fill treatment rooms when tourists are fewer.

What I bring to a spa on Reunion Island
In Rostrenen, Brittany, I created the spa at Jeanne & Jules with a single treatment room. The menu, offers and forecasts had to appeal to hotel guests and give local residents a reason to make the trip. Local clients became regulars.
On a project in Reunion Island, I define the target guests with you, build a menu suited to the number of treatment rooms and the team’s skills, and set up the procedures. On an existing spa, I start with an audit of the spaces, the menu and the figures.
My full method is described on the hotel spa consulting page.
Frequently asked questions
Do you travel to Reunion Island?
Yes. I come on site at the start of the project, then for the stages that need me there: test days, the launch of a new menu, the first days of opening.
Which languages do you work in?
In French, with management and the team alike. I can also prepare materials in English for international guests.
How does an assignment work remotely and on site?
The first visit lets me see the property and meet the team. I then work remotely on the concept, menu and procedures, with regular check-ins despite the time difference. I come back to the island for the launch.
